About the artist

Jody has a diversified style of painting that has developed over the years and thousands of paintings. Her first works were charming illustrations for children whom she sold to art exhibitions in the North West to pay for her studies.

Jody's watercolor technique is self -taught. His engineering diploma is reflected in his compositions and demonstrates Jody's love for mathematics and geometry. She easily mixes these elements with her imaginative interior visions to create her unique style.

We often ask her why she uses aboriginal, indigenous and geometric symbols. His permanent studies have made him discover many old cultures and the beauty of their drawings. By working respectfully with these images, Jody participates in the meaning of our history and reintegrates their symbols in our modern culture.

I propose that humanity shares a common reality, just beyond the scope of normal view. The images are emotions, those that are invisible but felt ... inaudible but known. There are moments when we have an acute awareness of existence ... like the feeling of exultation when we stand on the edge of a mountain, or at the top of a crescent moon. The physical adventure of each man is unique, but the abstract language of feelings, and our achievement of existence is our common experience. My paintings are part of my personal adventure. Memory simplifies the decor. I no longer see the edge of the mountain, but I see the feelings it has aroused.

Art is a tradition that helps to define that we are and brings us a vision of what we can become. My painting is my expression and my request for a more beautiful, more peaceful and more harmonious world.
