Carissa Harris

Carissa Harris

Al Hogue describes his art and philosophy in one word: “light,” which he describes as “a reflection of nature, of life itself.” Since childhood, Hogue has found visual media much more conducive to his nature as a dyslexic artist than words. He creates a world of peace in his works, using his mastery of color and light to relieve his own and others' stress. Hogue uses his art to heal: his works have been used in hospital studies and found to contribute to physiological healing; they now decorate hundreds of hospital rooms across the country. Additionally, Hogue's works are in private and public collections in the United States and around the world.

Alex Levin

Alex Levin

Alex Levin (born 1975) is a renowned artist from kyiv, Ukraine. He has exhibited his works in private and public collections around the world, including the United States, Israel, France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium and Ukraine. Levin's art ranges from surrealism to realism, and he uses a wide range of techniques, including oil paint, acrylic, pencil, charcoal, and tempera. He is particularly fond of the 16th-century multilayer technique, which uses tempera and oil without brushstrokes.

After serving three years in the Israeli army, Levin immigrated to Israel and studied industrial design and web design. He was mentored by Professor Baruch Elron, president of the Association of Israeli Artists, for over ten years. Levin's work has been recognized by many influential figures, including actor and producer Richard Gere, Madonna, jazz player Oscar Peterson and former President of Israel Ezer Weizman.

For more than For ten years, Alex studied new artistic styles and techniques with Professor Baruch Elron, president of the Association of Israeli Artists.

Alex Levin is currently working on the following themes: "Tradition of Jewish heritage" , "Tel Aviv - the hill of spring", "Venice through the eyes of a mask", "Symphony of rain", "Roots" and "Colors of Judaism".

"Tradition of Jewish Heritage" is a collection of photos of the Western Wall of Jerusalem and the religious district surrounding it. Levin photographed residents of the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Mea Shearim in Jerusalem, Jewish Attributes and those present at the Western Wall. In 2007, Alex received the Knesset Medal for his contribution to Jewish art.

"Tel Aviv - The Hill of Spring" is inspired by his favorite season and is dedicated to Tel Aviv - its inhabitants, the architecture of the buildings, the sea and the beaches. It depicts people facing snow-white buildings, in sunny weather and under a clear sky.

"Venice Through the Eyes of the Mask" takes a completely unique approach and introduces the viewer to the most important element of the Venetian carnival: the mask. His first paintings from the "mask collection" were presented in 2002 in Venice and earned Levin a scholarship to the Venice Academy of Art. The program supported the continued development of the artist and allowed him to devote significant time to creating new works.

"Symphony of Rain". Each painting was inspired by the music of different composers.
One painting complements the other, one composer is replaced by another, the misty morning turns into a rainy evening and a starry sky above the lagoon: a puzzle of forty paintings describing the dream city on the water - VENICE!

"The colors of Judaism" It helps me a lot to present the ancient sacred prayers of the Jews, for a thousand years, I have the most important task - to pour out all this spirit, all the tears shed by the Jews mourning the destroyed Temple. One fine day, I really wanted to represent all the millennia of Jewish history on a canvas. This series is now in full swing, it will include 50-60 paintings, today there are already 20. People perfectly feel the good magical aura and energy that emanates from my drawings, which is crazy pleasant, I do my job with all my heart.

Amandine Jung

Amandine Jung

AMANDINE JUNG, MUCH MORE THAN COLORING, AN ADVENTURE, SHARING AND A TOUCH OF MAGICAL…

Born in 1987, in Brittany, in the land of fairies and korrigans, Amandine Jung lets herself be captivated by tales and legends, wacky nursery rhymes, cartoons of all kinds. She keeps her childish soul in a world that she imagines to be dark and poetic. In his imagination, the sun can disappear to make way for the moon, Snow White can bite into a pearl apple, and a little shrew flies curiously in the sky. Going from a simple image in your head and succeeding in giving it shape is a difficult creative process. Amandine plays with paint, lines and her ideas. It feeds on the slightest word, on a tiny musical note, on a sweet spicy smell, on the sound of the rain falling on the ground, on the autumn leaves singing in the Breton forests, on the moon which makes her dream, of the simplest image and her overflowing imagination does the rest.

Since 2018, the artist has launched into the world of coloring and revealed a new talent for creating coloring books for adults. In 2020 her first book “Snow White, the Poisoned Princess“ was released, followed in 2021 by “Cinderella and the Halloween Ball“, in 2022 “Pinups, Special edition 2022” marks the beginning of his consecration, his name is starting to resonate almost everywhere.

In October 2022, for Halloween, Amandine Jung is offering a whole new adventure with her first novel “Chrysalis, Tale 1: Le Coma Noir“. She takes us on a journey into a poetic and fantastic tale in the Kingdom of the Moon, a sunless world dominated by eternal night.

November 2022, in her third coloring book, Amandine Jung dives into the famous tale of Hans Christian Andersen. This time, it is between land and sea that Amandine invites us on a journey. Through his illustrations, imbued with his unique and dreamlike vision, rediscover this wonderful tale from our childhood: “The Little Mermaid”. Page after page, while brushes and pencils dance, relive the captivating and tragic story of little Ondine, who inspired many writings, from yesterday to today.

Andy Russell

Andy Russell

Born in Buffalo, New York, in 1945, Andy has always had a love of art and creating imaginative feel-good lands. As a child, he often entertained neighborhood children with his clay models of cities with unique architectural structures.

Finger painting in kindergarten was his first and last encounter with formal art training, and he still uses this technique today to smooth and blend the paint. Andy's love of art and creativity was shared and encouraged by his aunt, a painter and architectural designer. Even though he held jobs unrelated to art, such as steelworker, life insurance salesman, field investigator, car rental manager, and electronic parts salesman, it couldn't quell the passion and Andy's desire to pursue his dream.

Around the age of thirty, after experimenting with various self-improvement techniques, Andy began to have successive dreams of incredible lands of peace , of beauty and tranquility where one could skate through the landscape on pure air or rise into the sky to see the splendor below. There was beautiful and unique foliage and incredible architecture. He had many of these dreams, which inspired him to share them with the world through his art. It was from his dreams that he was able to develop his unique style.

Once his style was established, he began to mix his imagination and experiences. He would see something and immediately transform it into his own original style of dreamscape. The glazing technique, which involves layering thin layers of color, has proven to be best for achieving this soft light effect. The colors seem to glow inside, which reinforces the dreamlike appearance. Andy began exhibiting and selling his works gradually, at first.

Demand for his works grew to the point that in 1991 he made the leap to becoming a full-time artist and Haven't looked back since. Traveling has become an enjoyable way to discover new ideas and sell your work. His palette broadens as he travels. He began painting the warm colors of Arizona's red rocks and the cool tropical colors of Maui's beaches.

Experiencing new places helped him deepen his understanding of life - his harmony, its various means of expressing beauty, its constant change and the miracle of the underlying energy.

Today, Andy is a member of the National Acrylic Painters Association (NAPA), headquartered in England, and a member of the Buffalo Society of Artists. His artwork is well represented.

Andy's work is constantly evolving, while maintaining that dreamlike quality. If asked what he thinks of his painting, he would reply: “My dreams have definitely come true!”

Brigid Ashwood

Brigid Ashwood

Hello, my name is Brigid. I'm a full-time professional artist (that's a phrase that would make my twelve-year-old self's mind boggle).

I'm not very good at writing these kinds of biographies, so I figured I'd answer some common questions I get asked. If you have a question to ask me, do not hesitate to contact me.

Did you go to art school ?

For me, it's a bit of a question of yes and no. I got a scholarship to the Corcoran School of Art, but unfortunately I couldn't afford it even with that scholarship. Instead, I attended a community college for a while and also attended the Maryland College of Art and Design. Although I didn't graduate, I had some amazing professional artists in my family growing up. My great-great-grandfather, George Bockius, had a considerable influence on my artistic development. My parents were also supportive, and I was able to take private art lessons growing up, where I learned all about watercolors, oils, acrylics, and more. Unfortunately, after years of traditional painting, I developed some nasty sensitivities to chemicals, and so had to transition to digital art for the sake of my health. Learning digital art was done by taking online courses, reading books, and practicing tons of stuff. In 2016, I became a Corel Painter Master*, which was pretty cool.

How did you get started ?

I started my career as a graphic designer using Corel Draw and Adobe Photoshop. I designed documents for websites and print media, while continuing my art studies at the same time. I eventually discovered the world of artwork licensing and realized that I could use my graphic design skills to create artwork that would appeal to a broader market. I try to create diverse art collections that cover different styles and subjects while following trends and maintaining a consistent appeal. And you know what ? Here I am, twenty years later, with a successful career in art licensing.

You're probably wondering how I make money, right ?

Well, I make my living as an artist by diversifying styles and the themes of my works and selling them in different ways.

First, I sell my works under license to manufacturers. In fact, companies that make things like puzzles, diamond stitch kits, calendars, cross stitch patterns, jewelry, clothing, home decor and more , pay me to use my designs on their products. This is where the majority of my turnover comes from.

But that's not all! I also sell my creations on my Etsy store. I partnered with a professional printer to create awesome products like t-shirts, zipper pouches (perfect for tarot bags), coffee mugs, wall art, shirts, kitchen and tote bags. When you purchase from my Etsy store, these items are delivered right to your door.

*Corel Painter is a digital painting program for PC and Mac. This was the first digital painting program I fell in love with. I now paint exclusively with Procreate on iPad.

Bruce Kaiser

Bruce Kaiser

Automotive artist Bruce Kaiser has been passionate about drawing, sketching, designing and painting cars since he could hold a pencil. He loves painting hot rods, drag cars, muscle cars, sports cars, Indy cars, Formula 1 cars. any type of car, as long as it's cool, loud and fast. He grew up in the '60s hanging out at the local A&W drive-in, first on his bike, then with his first cars. It was Detroit's golden age of big muscle cars and the sights and sounds of hot cars under the lights of a local burger joint still influence Bruce today. Bruce strives to capture in his paintings these perfect summer nights as he remembers them. The local drag strip held drag races on Friday nights and he spent many nights there trying to capture the excitement of the funny cars and drag racers of the 60s-70s under the lights, on film and now with brushes and paint. His paintings depict large muscle cars and hot rods like GTOs, Camaros, Hemi-Cudas, Novas, Chevelle SS, Mustangs, 32 Ford Coupes, Yenko Camaros, Super Bees, 40 Ford Coupes and many others. Bruce likes to show the cars in his paintings as he remembers them as a child, not as pristine new muscle cars, but as cars that have been modified and competed in races, like a Chevelle SS with Chargers or a 55 Chevy with cut out fenders. Many of his paintings of hot rods and muscle cars are for sale as limited, signed and numbered prints.

He began his artistic career as an advertising artist and graphic designer after graduating from the Art Institute of Boston. After working for 16 years at a local advertising agency, he struck out on his own and currently creates advertising art and illustrations for numerous street rod, muscle car and race car equipment manufacturers. His commercial art, which includes cutaways, exploded views, line drawings and color illustrations, has appeared in most major street rod and muscle car magazines and his catalog designs have won numerous awards. Professional Affiliations.

The Painting Process
Bruce's paintings are painted at the same size or larger size than the finished art print. He likes to paint large so he can capture the details that make his paintings special. Bruce strives to make his paintings as technically accurate as possible and spends a lot of time researching each subject (which is the fun part, because then he gets to look through his old magazines). Paintings are made using an opaque watercolor called "Designers Gouache" on smooth professional illustration board. The smooth illustration board has a very fine tooth which gives a nice texture to brushstrokes while maintaining a sharp edge for fine details. A pneumatic paintbrush is used for homogenizing a car's finish. He uses Designers gouache because of the vibrant colors and precise details it achieves. Bruce loves 1960s car advertisements and architectural renderings made with this technique. One of the disadvantages of opaque watercolors is that it is difficult to make changes or correct mistakes.

Bruce began exhibiting his artwork at the first Hot Rod Heritage Fine Art Exhibit in 1986 at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, where he has since been a featured artist. He was also one of the featured artists at the Gallery Automania Hot Rod Heritage Art Exhibit in Rochester, Michigan. His painting "Jim Hogg County" was the first to appear on the cover of Street Rodder magazine. He also wrote and illustrated articles that appeared in Street Rodder and Custom Rodder magazines. He was commissioned by Group Promotions to create the cover illustration for the book "Road Rockets", one of the titles in a limited edition collection of the famous Hot Rod novels for teens from the early 60s by author Henry Gregor Felsen. He also does automotive design and concept renderings for custom car builders like Posies Rods and Customs.

Bruce also did lettering, graphics and murals for race cars, vans and bike tanks, he airbrushed the "chrome" details of funny car bodies and did flame painting jobs for hot rods "back in the day." In addition to his automotive art, Bruce enjoys creating science fiction and aerospace paintings and has been published in the National Space Society magazine. He is passionate about F1, Indy Cars, NASCAR and Drag Racing. He also likes great American and European classics, sports cars and vintage racing cars. Bruce lives north of Albany, New York, with his wife Tina and their two dogs Westie, and he has one son, Warren. He and his wife enjoy tinkering with their collection of old cars and taking his converted '67 Rambler Rogue (401 and 2-4bbls!) on trips, shows, and cruises.

I'm a snorkaholic. The very first time I put on a mask and discovered the magical underwater world of the reefs, I was hooked forever. It was the snorkeling experience that really opened my eyes to the diversity of nature as a whole. I am always inspired by the amazing color, complexity and beauty of the wildlife I have observed during my years of traveling in the Caribbean. My images are made up of elements that a nature lover might encounter on a morning walk or an afternoon of snorkeling.
I grew up in England and when I was little , I took private art classes in the countryside where I created detailed studies of flora and fauna in various media. My father, also an artist, inspired and encouraged me from the beginning. I started painting pictures of the Caribbean in 1992, to prolong the memories of my visits to the West Indies.

I have a background in graphic design, which helped me develop my sense of composition, an important element in all my paintings. In graphics/lithography, I was limited in my use of color. Painting the tropics allowed me to unleash my creativity. I like to work big. I rarely work smaller than 18 x 24 inches, and most of my paintings are on 22 x 30 inch, 300 lb. watercolor paper.

I am committed to nature education and conservation, which is why I donate part of my profits to wildlife and reef preservation projects. I hope that my works will decorate and make people appreciate the incredible variety and fragility of the biosystems that I paint. The majority of species represented here are native to the West Indies, and many of them are endangered.

My mission is to create meaningful works of art that I hope will inspire you.

I am the mother of four beautiful children and wife to Michael.

I live on a small ranch in Southern California with two dogs, five chickens, a rooster and two turkeys.

I accept orders for personal or commercial use.

In recent years , I have had great success in having my works published all over the world. Through this, I have found ways to share what God has done in my life.

Some finished artwork acts a bit like a written journal...describing what I was thinking, feeling, or praying. Joys, sorrows, expectations - in each of my works.

In 1998 I was suddenly struck by a serious illness and went blind - it's a long story, but let's just say I had a miracle. I was told that I would not live to see my daughter reach adulthood and then, by the grace of God, and the intercession of Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, I was miraculously healed. Before that, I had never made art strictly speaking (except what you do when you are a child or with your own children) - then after my miraculous healing - God led me to the work that I do NOW. He had a plan for me. If you want the full story of my miracle, please do not hesitate to contact me. <3

I dedicate this site and my work to Christ - who has given me every success and blessing and enabled me to provide for my family through the work I love. more.

I am a self-taught American artist, working from my studio in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Since 2006, I have been selling my artwork online, at events, and through licensed products.

My childhood was spent in Northern California, where I discovered my passion . Like many artists, I have always been obsessed with drawing and coloring! Everything was going well when I received a new coloring book and a new box of colored pencils. Drawing has always been a part of me: my first paid freelance job was when I was 11 (a colored pencil drawing of a bald eagle for my science teacher's son as a birthday present). birthday) ; I was the dedicated artist in every school group project; and after school, I was the girl knocking on your door trying to sell you hand-drawn bookmarks for 50 cents each! When I wasn't at school, doing homework, or doing household chores, I was drawing, writing, reading, or making something. I am a completely self-taught artist and received my Associates Degree in Commerce in 2007. I am thrilled to be able to share my talent with the world and make a living from it!

My Original works are created by hand, in watercolor pencil and ink on illustration board, using traditional materials and techniques. Dimensions range from miniature (2.5"x3.5" up to 11"x14", although I could go a little larger). Sometimes I work with acrylics on wood, which allows me to paint a little larger and use different techniques. I also do all my graphics for internet and product use, and I produce many of my own prints and studio products, and I publish my own coloring books and trading cards. I currently license my artwork to outside companies for use on products such as cross stitch charts, stationery, rubber stamps and more. I love being able to feature my artwork on products that I know people will use and enjoy!

Fans have been collecting my artwork on sites like eBay and Etsy for many years now, and hundreds of my original paintings and prints are found in many personal collections around the world. My fans are very important to me, because I wouldn't be where I am today without their support! I look forward to a wonderful future where I will have the opportunity to license other products, illustrate books, and paint other fun characters and artwork for everyone to enjoy. all :).

Jody Bergsma

Jody has a diverse painting style that has developed over years and thousands of paintings. Her first works were charming children's illustrations that she sold at Northwest art shows to pay for her education.

Jody's watercolor technique is self-taught. Her engineering degree is reflected in her compositions and demonstrates Jody's love of mathematics and geometry. She seamlessly blends these elements with her imaginative inner visions to create her unique style.

She is often asked why she uses Aboriginal, indigenous and geometric symbols. His lifelong studies introduced him to many ancient cultures and the beauty of their designs. By working respectfully with these images, Jody participates in the meaning of our history and reintegrates their symbols into our modern culture.

I propose that humanity shares a common reality, just beyond the reach of normal vision. Images are emotions, those that are invisible but felt... inaudible but known. There are times when we have an acute awareness of existence... like the feeling of exultation when standing on the edge of a mountain, or at the top of a crescent moon. Each man's physical adventure is unique, but the abstract language of feelings, and our realization of existence is our common experience. My paintings are part of my personal adventure. Memory simplifies the decor. I can no longer see the edge of the mountain, but I see the feelings it aroused.

Art is a tradition that helps define who we are and gives us a vision of what we can become. My painting is my expression and my request for a more beautiful, more peaceful and more harmonious world.

I wish you an endless childhood,

I started painting with pastels in 1985, as a natural progression from drawing, which I had been doing for as long as I can remember. Two years later, I moved to the Cayman Islands, where I lived with my family for fourteen years. The colors of the Caribbean stimulated my artistic senses and invited me to capture the turquoise sea and bright pink bougainvillea on paper and canvas. The Cayman Islands art community welcomed me, private collectors and institutions purchased my works, and I participated in numerous visual arts exhibitions and group exhibitions, winning several awards. The Cayman Islands are a British dependent territory and my status within the artistic community gave me the opportunity and honor to meet members of the Royal Family.

I began using the I painted acrylic towards the end of my time in the Cayman Islands, and now that I live in England I paint almost exclusively with this technique. Acrylics combine the strength of color with technical simplicity, and with their durability, I know that when I ship originals across the world, they arrive in perfect condition.

One of the benefits of living in Europe is being able to travel to countries like Italy and France. I feel lucky to have been able to paint a few pastoral scenes from Tuscany and Provence in between my more typically tropical works for galleries in the Caribbean and collectors in the United States.

In 2013, I began to painting scenes of Kauai, to display and sell through the Palms Gallery. It was a great privilege for me to be selected to be the gallery's first international artist, and there can be no better inspiration for an artist than to have as their subject matter the most naturally beautiful landscapes on the planet, and a gallery in the middle of it all where his works can be displayed and appreciated. Today, my days begin with a blank canvas in front of me and images of stunning waterfalls, rugged mountains, pristine beaches and swaying palm trees, just waiting to be painted.

Julie Buibui

Julie Buibui

My first name is Julie, they nickname me BuiBui.

Originally from the banks of Lake Geneva, I set down my suitcases in Ain, alongside a weeping willow. I live there with my lover, my pretty daughter, my pretty boy, a lot of paper, a lot of paint and a gaggle of pencils.

As far back as I can remember, I have always had a pencil in my hand.

Having studied the history of Art (mainly from the 20th century) at the Lycée, I obtained a Bac L Plastic Arts in 2005 then did a very brief stint at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts in Lyon. The teaching practiced was not made for me!

Since then I have been painting, gluing, drawing and coloring constantly, always looking for new ideas and techniques. It’s a necessity!

Inspired by youth illustration, singular art, the culture of Street Art and even the Primitive Arts, I work to develop a personal and poetic universe which aims to be an invitation to travel, into worlds populated by melancholy creatures, and in which time often seems to have stopped.

Based mainly on the human figure (often female) and nature, my work combines false naivety, colors, patterns and other heady interminglings which are like so many paths in the course of our thoughts.

My characters and other landscapes each have a unique story that I tell myself while giving birth to them, and I like those who look to imagine it in turn...

Technical

Lately I've been mixing paint, acrylic inks and markers. I often add colored pencil and use my precious rotring and staedler pens (refillable pens for technical drawing). I have used gouache and pen a lot in the past and am always looking for new techniques.

Having worked a lot on canvas frames, I have recently opted for supports with smoother surfaces such as wood and paper.

In addition, the amalgamation of drawing and painting brings a unique perspective to the paintings. All his works present an aspect of lightness, of sketch effect and these come to life with the living colors and unique textures.

Since her early childhood, art has been part of Julie's life and it was during her high school career that she took her first oil painting lessons. With time and university studies, art and painting were temporarily put aside. However, upon completion of her courses she returned to her passion and explored a new medium, that of acrylic, which she still uses today.

For Julie, her true growth results from a visit to an art gallery in Quebec City in 2013. She immediately felt drawn to this artistic field. From then on, painting would take a very special place in his life. Since then, she has used a self-taught method and painted daily.

Julie is a passionate artist for whom a life without painting would be unimaginable, gray and empty. Art gives her balance in her daily life and she uses this attachment to release her creativity and express her emotions. This flame, which art represents in his eyes, allows him to escape, to stop time and to fully live the present moment.

Laure Marchand

I was born in the Bouches du Rhône and I spent my childhood between the pretty forests of Burgundy, my mother's country, and the scrubland of Marcel Pagnol.
When I was little I wanted to be Snow White , Cinderella, getting lost in wonderland or sometimes knowing how to wiggle my nose like my beloved witch while daydreaming in front of Sarah Kay's illustrations.

Pensive, I had long ago invented a magical world where I could take refuge at leisure.

“Then she fell asleep in a long, very long sleep…”

pomme

I drew like all children draw but without knowing that it would become a real passion.

I am self-taught and I started sketching especially landscapes and still lifes. Drawing appealed to me a lot but I was never completely satisfied with my "subjects of study".
One day I sketched a little sprite in a landscape and it seemed to me so natural that I continued on this path.
Since then I have dedicated my drawing to all these little characters who accompanied me in my childhood and whom I had so much pleasure in meeting again. I now like to bring them to life on a sheet of paper.
I continued to combine my passion for drawing with the magical world as well as my passion for certain periods of history.

My inspirations are quite varied but often revolve around magic or fantasy since I equally appreciate the softness of the illustrations of Meredith Dillman or Delphine Gache like the darker drawings of Tim Burton or Barbara Canepa.

I have been working in the field of professional training for adults for 20 years and I have been a declared freelance illustrator since 2008. I balance my time between a very humanly enriching job, my family life and my passion for drawing.

Keeping a part of magic and childhood is vital for me.

I will end with my favorite quote:

“What makes the poet ? Isn't it love, the desperate search for the slightest ray of sunshine playing on the parquet floor of a child's bedroom”
François Mauriac.

My work as an illustrator

I dreamed my engravings like prince’s kisses,

a little naive and childish, they speak to your inner child, the one who deep inside you has never really grown up.

Embedded with melancholy, they speak to you of lost worlds, of the forever-gone melodies of your childhood.

Sometimes you'll bite into the poisoned apple, other times it's a frog that will wake you up.

Often, they are little wood fairies who look deep into your eyes and say:

“Remember”

feedragon

My illustrations are made using different techniques, either traditional, watercolor, acrylic and colored pencil; or in digital painting in Photoshop. I always try to distill magic and softness into my way of painting, whether traditional or digital.

Lucia Van Den Berg

Lucia Van Den Berg

Lucia van den Berg, originally from a small town in the Netherlands, discovered her love for art as a child, inspired by the beautiful tulip fields and windmills that surrounded her home. The bright colors and quiet beauty of his homeland became a constant source of inspiration for his art. Van Gogh's enchanting depictions of the Dutch countryside deeply influenced her, as did the intricate patterns and symbolism of Gustav Klimt's works.

However, Lucia's passion for art was not limited to not to local landscapes. As a young adult, she embarked on numerous journeys, exploring diverse landscapes around the world. Her works, created primarily with wooden pencils and sometimes combined with digital art, reflect the diverse environments she encountered.

Her work "Macaw Family" is inspired by her time in America of the South, where she was captivated by the vibrant colors and sounds of the jungle. “Mountain Escape” and “Field of Fragrance” reflect her travels to Canada and France, respectively, while “Sakura no Tancho” was inspired by a visit to Japan, where she fell in love with the serene beauty of traditional Japanese architecture and symbolic trees such as the crane and the cherry blossom tree.

Despite her talent, Lucia remains a relatively little-known artist. She always preferred the quiet solitude of her travels and the comfort of her small studio in the Netherlands to the limelight. She continues to travel and create, driven not by the desire for recognition, but by the joy of capturing the beauty of the world in her art. His works, which are snapshots of a time and place, are cherished by those who are lucky enough to come across them.

Illustrator, painter, poet... I am many hats, a joyful and colorful artist at heart! After literary studies, then obtaining my master's degree in Teaching, I redirected myself towards my childhood passions, to devote myself entirely to them. It was during my first parental leave that I took up drawing again, to the great happiness of my two children.
Self-taught, I explored many techniques, and drew a lot, to then create "to my own way".
My style? Close to naive art... It is colorful, lively, full of contrasts, deliberately disproportionate, magical, sometimes funny, sometimes poetic! A big lover of animals, I love representing them... and in particular Mimie, my little black and white cat, who has become the image of my company, and of my brand "Marion-nette Illustrations", created in 2017.
Each of my illustrations are imagined and created with a lot of love and passion. I often say that my art “is the expression of my overflowing heart”. More than a simple image, it is a powerful tool for transmitting values and resources.
Sometimes we go through difficult times, and that is when we particularly need tenderness, acceptance, forgiveness, joy, sparkles & sparkling eyes! This is what I want to convey through my illustrations.
Today, I am happy to be able to share them with you, through diamond painting, cross stitch, the pixel hobby Oraloa, and puzzles.

Lover of the arts since my childhood childhood, it was quite natural that I turned towards illustration for children's literature, in order to take young and old on a journey on the tips of my pencils.

Very curious, infinitely dreamy, a bit lucky...

I enjoyed learning and practicing many different techniques , watercolor, pastel, collage, Indian ink, photography...and many others which offer me a fairly vast horizon.
I like to combine several techniques, because in matters of Art, as in life, there is no greater strength than diversity.

Misstigri

Valérie Moigne aka Misstigri is an independent artist based in Nantes where she also runs a small boutique.
After a Bac F12 applied arts and a BTS in Interior Architecture, she will continue on a long cycle at the Beaux-Arts in design options. Despite an attempt at architecture, her passion for images took over and pushed her to set up as an independent graphic designer in 2000. This work being directed by the constraints of clients, she sought an escape by starting to paint, and will give birth to female characters who will become her trademark "Les Misstinguettes".

Today, as a graphic designer, illustrator and painter, she draws her inspiration from painting with influences like Klimt, Mucha, Shiele or Pignon Ernest, as well as in comics via Bilal, Manara, Dautremer, or even fashion (Lacroix, Gaultier or Miyaké,…) and animated cinema (Burton, Miyazaki,…).

Her technique first begins with the development of a sketch which she then reproduces on the scale of the canvas. Like a school teacher, she constructs the main lines of the drawing with chalk. She fine-tunes, evens out then erases from the back of her blouse everything that interferes with readability... The base is in place.
The skin, the clothes, the hair then the rough shadows in acrylic. Precise shadows, volumes and very bold pastel shadows. A little touch of precision for the posca (gouache marker) and 3D paint (tulip) finishes. If the young lady who comes to life asks her to, she adorns her attire with feathers, lace or ribbons...

She has today acquired great notoriety and is considered a reference in its own right by many...

Nadia Strelkina

Nadia Strelkina

Artist Nadezhda Strelkina was born and raised in the village of Fedoskino near Moscow. Strelkina was her surname when she married, while in her youth she was called Burbysheva. The Burbyshev family gave several generations of famous artists to Fedoskino. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, Nadezhda's great-grandfather owned a small factory called Burbyshevskaya Workshop, which produced painted lacquer snuff boxes, silver cigarette cases, cups, etc. The revolution of 1917 made private entrepreneurship impossible and the "Burbyshevs' workshop" closed its doors. However, the dynasty of Zakhar Timofeevich Burbyshev was continued by his sons, Semyon and Dmitry, who were the leading artists of the Fedoskino artel during the Soviet era. Nadezhda Strelkina's father, Viktor Semyonovich Burbyshev, was among the best artists at the Fedoskino miniature factory and worked there for more than 40 years. A graduate of the Fedoskino school of miniature painting, Nadezhda also continued the artist dynasty.

Her talent for painting manifested itself very early. She considers her main masters in art to be the old classical masters. Inspired by them, as well as Russian fairy tales and spiritual legends, she creates images that awaken kind and bright feelings in the viewer. Nadezhda's artistic style is unique and makes her works instantly recognizable. Her way of writing is very delicate and she is famous for her soft and delicate depiction of faces, as if they were radiating from within. She is the embodiment of the Russian ideal of female beauty. The works of Nadezhda Strelkina are kept in the Fedoskino Factory Museum and in many private collections in Russia and abroad. In 1997, Nadezhda's works were released under license in the United States and immediately gained immense popularity. The largest souvenir company "The Bradford Exchange" has launched a series of music boxes, porcelain plates, Christmas tree decorations, etc. called “Symphony of Angels”. For this series, Nadezhda received the crystal cup "New Name of the Year".

Since then, Nadezhda has collaborated with various companies. His works can be seen on various products (postcards, calendars, puzzles, Christmas tree decorations, collectible plates, music boxes, etc.) in virtually every country in the world. Thanks to the opportunity to earn money by selling her licensed images, Nadezhda was able not to sell the originals of her works of art and, having accumulated a large collection, was able to realize her old dream: to open her own museum private in the homeland of Russian lacquer boxes, in the famous village of Fedoskino. The museum's collection includes more than 40 works of lacquer miniatures (boxes, caskets, wall panels), created by Nadezhda over the past 20 years.

WHERE I COME FROM

I am a self-taught painter. I started oil painting by exploring different techniques. Not discovering what I was looking for, I continued to draw for my own pleasure and turned to graphic design for over 20 years, where I explored different visual styles. This is where my style appeared. This change pushed me to return to the countryside and devote my time to my family life.

WHAT INSPIRES ME

This other path allowed me to find a style of artistic expression that reflects my colorful, spontaneous and gentle side. Inspired by the animal and human kingdoms, I like to paint my subjects in a setting of movement and very colorful vegetation. A setting that amazes and transports you into dreams, via the magical universe that emerges. I want to touch that spark of magic present in everyone.

WHERE DO I START

My works follow these stages of production: I start by producing an automatic drawing, then I let myself be inspired by the range of colors to use and finally, I finish with a black line in Indian ink.

ARTISTIC STYLE

My art oscillates between Pop Art, psychedelic and naive art. My works express Joy and awaken us to the Space of emptiness through their bright colors applied in solid colors using acrylic paint. I believe that the black lines surrounding each shape create a distraction for the mind, which creates inner calm. In my opinion, the black lines represent 0.001%* of our material reality, while the solid colors are Space. We believe we are separated from Space when separation is only a tiny part of reality, as we understand it.

FEATURES

My works are distinguished by the absence of a straight segment and the presence of continuous movement. They contain a multitude of shapes, ranging from circles, many of which are concentric, to hearts and flowers which arrange to form different mythical symbols.

* According to quantum physics our material reality represents only 0.001%, the 99.999% is the Space of the quantum vacuum, i.e. the unlimited.

« What can you say about me? ?

I was born in Belgium where I still live.

My taste for creation and drawing comes from my mother who introduced me to different creative hobbies and reading from a young age.

Once I started drawing, I didn't stop. I scribbled on everything and anything, even my course papers.

My influences are numerous: Comics and a little more the world of manga, video games, cinema and series, and of course, my reading. I am passionate about tales, myths and legends which are inexhaustible sources for my imagination.

In terms of my studies, I started with a year in drawing before continuing in digital arts from which I graduated.

But subsequently, I refocused on illustration and comics where I can better imagine, express myself and feel like myself.

In terms of my work, although I most often color my illustrations by computer, I remain an unconditional user of paper format for my sketches, and I sometimes try my hand at watercolor.

I don't know what else to say, I hope that my work will touch you and please you.

I thank Oraloa for the new experience and adventure it offers me with this collaboration.

See you soon,

Yaakov Abergel

Yaakov Abergel

Born in France in Toulouse, the pink city, to ‘Hananiah Abergel and Esther Malka (née Berdah). Second of three children.

Until his adolescence he lived in the countryside in St Ferréol. Around the age of 12 his mother made him take violin lessons which he followed for 2 years but he decided to stop music to devote himself to drawing and painting. His father, who is a furniture and antiques merchant, is passionate about Art and encourages him to develop his taste for drawing. At the age of 12 he gave her an easel. This relationship that was born between them, that of an admirer of painters and a budding painter eager for advice and knowledge, continued throughout their lives.

At the age of 14 following his parents' divorce, he left to live with his mother and two sisters in Toulouse. During this period he discovered B.D to which he continued to devote himself until the age of 22. During the years in Toulouse he searched a lot for himself, and in addition to a passion for photography and cinema he began to take an interest in painting. After starting scientific studies, he ended up obtaining an artistic Baccalaureate which led him to enroll in the School of Architecture in which he studied for 2 years. Before taking his exams to enter the third year, he decided to drop out to study at the St Luc school in Brussels, at the B school.D He will study there for 2 years. During this period he discovered contemporary art and contemporary artists and decided to stop B.D to devote himself, too, to contemporary art.

He left to live in Italy, in Florence, to enroll in a painting school. When he registered, the school director, seeing his work, pointed out to him that he would be wasting his time pursuing studies and that the time had come to launch into life. He will listen to her advice and begin a solitary journey. After a year spent in Florence he left the “Dolce Vita” to return to Toulouse where he took the Beaux Arts competition which he passed, but he only stayed a few months at the Beaux-Arts which he finally left to devote himself alone to paint. During his brief stay at the Beaux-Art de Toulouse he met Annie Merle who saw his work and chose him among the Artists to whom she dedicated a work which she published entitled: “the painters of the Toulouse school”.

Until the age of 27 he never stopped working on painting and drawing without ever managing to integrate into an artistic environment, whether in the world of galleries or in the world of painters. Although he was unable to exhibit his works, he continued his research. He is 27 years old and decides to really earn his living. His parents, who worked in furniture sales, helped him become a salesman. He first worked in his father's store then his mother took him with her to teach him the trade. After a difficult beginning, he acquired a good foundation which allowed him to live and work alone in a store in Paris. He will work there for 3 years. During this period he continued to draw, most of the time on the blocks used for sales. He painted a few paintings and made numerous drawings of the streets of Paris during his days off.

His older sister, who at that time had become a nun, sent him books relating to the deeper part of the Torah, Chabad Chassidism and the Lubavitch Rebbe.

During the holidays he took a trip to Tahiti and Bora Bora. This trip will be decisive in his life because it will once again awaken his desire to paint and create to the point that following this trip he decides to resign from his job as a salesman to devote himself to painting.  He then travels to Montreal in Canada to visit his younger sister who has been living there for some time. There he meets Haim Sherff. This Israeli religious painter who lives in Montreal made him aware of the importance of being attached to his roots, and recommended that he become more religious by studying the Torah. Indeed, Art according to him cannot be dissociated from the divine spirit expressed in the Torah.  Yaakov understands these recommendations and begins, in parallel with his work as an Artist, a religious journey under the influence of the Master of Chabad Hassidism: the Lubavitch Rebbe.

His new habits naturally lead him to pray every morning at the Synagogue of rue Pallaprat where the great Rabbi Eliahou Haik also prays, and on Shabbos at the Synagogue of the Chalia'h of the Rebbe in Toulouse: Rav Yossef-Itz'hak Matusof who was the first to introduce him to the Rebbe and the Hasidic world. It was during this period that he discovered the book of Tanya with Rav Gabriel Sebagh. He also studied Chabad Chassidut with Rav Israel Zerdoun.

He returns to live in Toulouse. Her mother meets Dany Simon who owns an art gallery and who organizes her first exhibition which brings together works inspired by the religious world.

It was at this time that he met Liba through David and Edith Hagège, friends of his older sister, and whom he married on June 22, 1997 in Lyon. A year after their marriage the couple decided to join Yaakov's sister and her husband Samuel Marquès who had been living in Israel for a year and settled in Jerusalem.

He spends less and less time painting and drawing because he devotes himself to the study of Torah, first at the Yeshiva of Rav 'Haï Barkats then and especially at the Kollel of Rav Shimon Elituv under the direction of Rav Avraham Kot. He spent 4 years at the Kollel and obtained rabbinical ordination from Rav Itz’hak Yéhudah Yéroslavski.  It was during this period that he met a decisive person in his life, Rav Ytz'hak-Tsvi Eizenbakh with whom he studied Chassidut and in particular the book of Tanya for many years. He attended numerous Chassidut courses, including courses taught by Rav Aaron-Morde’hi Zilberstraum, Rav Shmuel Weinfeld, Rav Shnéor-Zalman Gopin, Rav Avraham-Baroukh Pevzner and Rav Moshe Weiner. He is especially attached to Rav Yossef-Itshak Offen whose classes he follows to this day.

His artistic taste naturally led him to study Sofrout in Bneï Brak with Rav Gerschtenkorn who was recommended to him by Rav Moshe Landau. He obtained the Smicha of Sofer from Rav Yéroslavski, which allowed him to exercise the profession of Sofer until today by writing the Ktav of Admur Hazaken.

Moreover he also obtains a Smi'ha of Cho'heth from Rav Shimon Elitouv but apart from the Kapparoth which he does with his friend from the Kollel Rav Yaakov Cho'hat he will not exercise this occupation.

In 2000, birth of his daughter ‘Haya-Mouchka in Jerusalem on Purim Katan.

He changed Kollel and began to study dayanuth at Kollel ‘Ariel’ and until today, with Rav Moshe Pinder. He devoted himself more and more to painting and painted numerous portraits of the Masters of Chabad. His creation diversified more and more and he began a series of seascapes on wooden pallets.

In parallel with his studies and his artistic work, he devotes a lot of time to writing works based on the teaching of the Masters of Chabad and the Rebbe, and in particular on the essence of soul. This subject will never leave him. He thus published 3 books.

In 2009, birth of his two sons on Lag Ba Omer.

He is continuing to write a novel started a few years ago which brings together memories of travel (in particular the trip to Bora Bora) and reflections on Teshuvah. His work is entitled “colors in the veins” and reveals his passion for Art.

His sister is organizing an exhibition of his paintings in Raanana in the “Merkaz Giron” gallery. The opportunity is given to him to present in large paintings a small overview of his entire work based essentially on the Chassidic world.

He then met Yaakov Benhaim and Moché Krieger from Météor LeMag magazine who devoted a video to this occasion. This meeting marks the beginning of a collaboration which will result in the production of Torah and Chassidut course videos.

The dissemination of the sources of Chassidut is at the center of his concerns and while continuing his studies he gives numerous courses around him. His artistic activity intensified and an innumerable number of drawings were added to his paintings.

His friend Nissim Belma put him in contact with his brother Elie with whom he designed a site whose objective was to make his artistic work known and to disseminate the Sources of Chassidout to the outside world.

Since his exhibition in Raanana, he has gotten into the habit of writing extracts from the Chassidic speeches of the Lubavitch Rebbe on his canvases. Thus mixing words with images, the painter seems to be able to finally express his love for painting and for writing which he unites on his canvases.

“You undoubtedly know that the quality of a painter consists of obscuring the external aspect of an object, of forgetting its contours, to penetrate it, to grasp its deep aspect and its essence, in order to express it through his canvas. Thus, whoever contemplates it will perceive what he had not previously noticed, when the interior part was hidden by accessory elements.”

Schim Schimmel

Schim Schimmel

Snow leopards, white tigers, elephants and lions; the earth, the moon, galaxies and nebulas-these are the subjects that leap off a Schimmel canvas and into the hearts of those who see his work. For over twenty years now, Schim Schimmel has been painting in a style uniquely his own, expressing on canvas his love and awe for this incredible planet, its animals, and the
universe that brought them into being.

Schim Schimmel studied art with his father, William Schimmel, a well-known watercolorist and art instructor. Schim subsequently taught watercolor, oil, and acrylic landscape painting to thousands of students for over a decade. In 1987 he quit teaching to devote full time to his developing art style, the style he is now recognized for around the world.

In 1991 Schimmel’s artwork was shown at the Tokyo Art Expo in Japan. His work was immediately embraced by the Japanese, and a year later he was asked by Shogakukan, one of the largest book publishers in Japan, to write a children’s book using his artwork. Since then, Schimmel has produced six more books, and has traveled to Japan over 50 times, attending hundreds of art shows in dozens of cities throughout the four main islands of the country. Schimmel continues to attend art exhibitions every year with Japan’s number one fine-art company. Art Vivant.
