About the artist

Julie Courchesne draws her inspiration from the simple little pleasures of life. She creates works that evoke the memory of an era and that make you smile. In addition, the amalgamation of drawing and painting brings a singular perspective to the fabrics. All his works have an appearance of lightness, sketch effect and these come to life with alive colors and unique textures.

Since her childhood, art is part of Julie's life and it was during her school career in high school that she took her first oil painting lessons. Over time and university studies, art and painting were temporarily set aside. However, as soon as her lessons are completed, she returned to her passion and explored a new medium, that of acrylic, which she still uses today.

For Julie, her real boom results from a visit to an art gallery in Quebec City, in 2013. She immediately felt herself challenged by this artistic field. From then on, the painting was going to take a very special place in his life. Since then, she has been using a self -taught and painted method on a daily basis.

Julie is a passionate artist for which a painless life would be unimaginable, gray and empty. Art gives her a balance in her daily life and she uses this attachment in order to release her creativity and express her emotions. This flame, that art in his eyes represents, allows him to escape, to stop time and to live fully the present moment.
