Julie Courchesnes

Julie Courchesnes draws her inspiration from life's simple little joys. She creates works that evoke memories of times gone by and make people smile. In addition, the blend of drawing and painting brings a unique perspective to her canvases. All of her works have a light, sketch-like quality, and they come to life through vibrant colors and unique textures.

Art has been part of Julie's life since early childhood, and it was during high school that she took her first oil painting classes. Over time, and with her university studies, art and painting were temporarily set aside. However, as soon as she finished her studies, she returned to her passion and explored a new medium, acrylic, which she still uses today.

For Julie, her real breakthrough came from a visit to an art gallery in Quebec City in 2013. She immediately felt drawn to this artistic field. From then on, painting would hold a very special place in her life. Since then, she has followed a self-taught approach and paints every day.

Julie is a passionate artist for whom a life without painting would be unimaginable, gray and empty. Art gives her balance in her daily life, and she uses this attachment to free her creativity and express her emotions. This flame, which is what art represents in her eyes, allows her to escape, to stop time and to fully live in the present moment.
