About the artist

Finbar Coyle is an illustrator and a character designer from the east coast of Ireland. His early passion for art led him to study animation at the Ireland National Cinema School, where he graduated in 2007. Since then, he worked as a character designer for major animation studios on several children's television series. His love for animation and visual development is influenced by artistic heroes such as Cory Loftis, Max Ulichney and Annette Marnat.

His experience in the conception of characters is obvious in his style of illustration; Strong characters and living illustration concepts are his main specialty.

In 2020, Finbar embarked on freelance work and moved to Germany to work as a designer and illustrator. Finbar is now working in his studio in Cologne and when he is not illustrating or drawing, he is busy learning German and making long walks in his local park to find inspiration for his next drawing or next illustration.
