About the artist

Born in Buffalo, New York, in 1945, Andy has always had a love of art and the creation of imaginative well-being lands. As a child, he often amused the neighborhood children with his clay models from cities to unique architectural structures.

Painting on the finger at the kindergarten was his first and last meeting with formal artistic training and he still uses this technique today to smooth and blur the painting. Andy's love for art and creativity was shared and encouraged by his aunt, painter and designer of architecture. Even if he has occupied jobs unrelated to art, such as steel worker, life insurance seller, field investigator, car rental manager and electronic parts seller, this could not suffocate the passion and the desire that Andy had to continue her dream.

Around the age of thirty, after having tried various techniques of personal improvement, Andy began to have successive dreams of incredible land of peace, beauty and tranquility where one could skate in the landscape on pure air or rise in the sky to see the splendor below. There were magnificent and unique leaves and incredible architecture. He did a lot of these dreams, which prompted him to share them with the world through his art. It was from his dreams that he was able to develop his unique style.

Once his style has been established, he started to mix his imagination and experiences. He saw something and immediately transformed him into his own original dream landscape style. The glacis technique, which consists of superimposing thin layers of color, turned out to be the best to obtain this soft light effect. The colors seem to shine inside, which strengthens the dreamlike aspect. Andy started to exhibit and sell his works gradually, at the beginning.

The demand for his works increased to the point that in 1991, he made the jump to become a full -time artist and did not look back since. Traveling has become a pleasant way to discover new ideas and sell your works. His palette widens as he travels. He started painting the warm colors of the Red Rocks of Arizona and the cold tropical colors of the beaches of Maui.

The experience of new places has helped him to deepen his understanding of life - his harmony, his various means of expressing beauty, constant change and the miracle of underlying energy.

Today, Andy is a member of the National Acrylic Painters Association (NAPA), whose headquarters are in England, and member of the Buffalo Society of Artists. His works of art are well represented.

Andy's work is constantly evolving, while keeping this dream quality. If he was asked what he thinks of his painting, he would answer: "My dreams have become definitively reality!".
