Franziska Speer

Hi! My name is Franzi, I'm a creative originally from the charming city of Münster, Germany, and I've happily been living in the Netherlands since 2018.

My artistic style? Picture a minimalist, playful world overflowing with color and charm. Although I use digital tools like Adobe Fresco, Photoshop, and Illustrator to bring my creations to life, I always make sure to preserve that hand-drawn feel, adding textures and depth to bring each illustration to life.

I love cheerful color palettes, and I enjoy creating illustrations and seamless repeating patterns for all kinds of products, from cards to everyday items.

Throughout my creative journey, I've designed playful patterns for laptop sleeves as well as captivating illustrations for notebooks. One of my favorite projects is the "Chapter & Cheer" card collection, a colorful tribute to the world of books, inspired by my sister, a true book lover.

Thanks to my background in product design and my ability to quickly turn raw ideas into detailed graphic concepts, my creations always stay in tune with current trends.

I usually start with simple paper sketches before moving on to more elaborate digital illustrations. I then carefully select color palettes to highlight the theme and mood of each creation.

Creativity has always been my driving force, ever since my teenage years, when I spent hours painting furniture and working on large-scale artistic pieces.

I find inspiration in my travels, my favorite food discoveries, and all those little everyday surprises that catch my eye. I love bringing a touch of personality and joy to each of my creations.

When I'm not creating, you can find me starting my day with a cup of chai tea, enjoying a spinning class, or taking walks through the surrounding forests and towns.

And of course, I can't forget to mention Yuni, my adorable fluffy ginger cat, who loves to come visit me in my studio!
