Santhya Shenbagam Radhakrishnan is a self-taught illustrator born and raised in a small village in Tamilnadu, India. Santhya has been drawing since her childhood, on any paper or medium she can find. Despite this close connection with art, Santhya initially pursued a career in engineering for six years. It was while reading children's books to her daughter that she fell in love with the illustrations of these stories and rediscovered her taste for art. She loves the freedom to express herself and create worlds through art. Santhya has relentlessly pursued her passion for illustration and has been working on illustrating and designing children's books for the past four years. She enjoys learning and exploring new techniques in her work, and uses a mix of traditional and digital media. Santhya currently lives in the UK with her husband, daughter and their adorable dog, Brownie.
