Alan Brown

Alan is a freelance artist who started out as a storyboard artist for a London agency, before returning to his roots in the North East to pursue a career in graphic design. Although he enjoyed working in design for major clients, Alan always loved illustration. 13 years later, after working as a tattoo artist, he arrived at the door of Advocate Art. Since joining Advocate Art a year and a half ago, Alan has been lucky enough to work on a variety of projects, including the Ben 10 Omniverse graphic novels for Viz Media, as well as children's book illustrations for publishers such as Harper Collins and Watts. He can turn his hand to many styles depending on the client, but with a keen interest in the world of comics, he is comfortable working on bold graphic pieces and comic strips. He works in an attic studio with his faithful companion, Ollie the miniature schnauzer (miniature in size, giant in personality and appetite), and his two sons, Wilf and Teddy.
