Tips to never run out of diamonds again!

Astuces pour ne plus jamais manquer de diamants!

Who has never experienced that small moment of panic when realizing a few diamonds are missing from a project in progress? Fortunately, this kind of issue is completely manageable, and with a few good habits, it can even be avoided altogether. Here are our tips to enjoy your passion with complete peace of mind, right down to the very last sparkle!

Always Check Your Kit Before Starting
Before placing your very first diamond, take a moment to check that all the bags are included. Compare the DMC codes listed on the canvas with the bags you received. This quick step can save you from unpleasant surprises later on.

Organize Your Diamonds from the Start
As soon as you open your kit, sort and store your diamonds in compartment boxes or organizers. Not only will this save you time while working, but it will also help you quickly spot a missing or low-quantity color. Some people use labeled containers or classification systems by DMC code: practical and visually satisfying!

Anticipate Large Color Blocks
If you notice an area dominated by a single color, check the quantity provided. If it seems tight, slow down a little with that color at the beginning or leave it for the end, in case you need to request additional diamonds.

Ask for Help Without Stress
Despite all precautions, shortages can happen and that’s okay! At Oraloa, you can contact customer service to receive missing diamonds free of charge. Simply provide the canvas name, the color code (DMC), and the shape (round or square).
Tip: Keep the bag labels or take a photo of your canvas to speed up the process.

Keep Leftovers from Previous Kits
Never throw away your leftover diamonds! Store them by color if possible, they can serve as backups in case of shortages or even be used to create new DIY projects (cards, decorations, stickers, etc.). You might be surprised how often colors repeat from one kit to another.

Consider Building an Emergency Stock
If you’re a true DP enthusiast, you can also purchase individual DMC diamond bags or gradually build a small backup box with the most common colors (whites, blacks, blues, etc.).

In Summary: Zero Stress, Just Enjoyment!
A small diamond shortage can happen but it’s never the end of the world. With a bit of organization and the right habits, you can avoid those moments of panic or handle them calmly. The key is to enjoy the process, relax, and watch your artwork come to life, one piece at a time.
