Nadia Strelkina

The artist Nadezhda Stélkina was born and grew up in the village of Fedoskino, near Moscow. Stélkina is her surname during her marriage, while in her youth, her name was Burbysheva. The Burbyshev family has given several generations of famous artists in Fedoskino. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, the great grandfather of Nadezhda had a small factory called Burbyshevskaya Workshop, which produced pete-lacquer smokers, silver cigarette cases, cuts, etc. The 1917 revolution made private entrepreneurship impossible and the "Burbyshevs workshop" closed its doors. However, the Zakhar Timofeevich Burbyshev dynasty was perpetuated by his sons, Semyon and Dmitry, who were the main artists of the Artel Fedoskino in the Soviet era. Nadezhda StruLkina's father, Viktor Semyonovich Burbyshev, had among the best artists of the Fedoskino miniatures factory and worked there for more than 40 years. A graduate of the Fedoskino miniature painting school, Nadezhda also continued the artist dynasty.

His talent for painting appeared very early. She considers that her main art masters are the former classic masters. Inspired by them, as well as by fairy tales and Russian spiritual legends, she creates images that awaken benevolent and luminous feelings. The artistic style of Nadezhda is unique and makes her works immediately recognizable. Her way of writing is very delicate and it is famous for its gentle and delicate representation of faces, as if they were radiated from the inside. It is the embodiment of the Russian ideal of female beauty. The works of Nadezhda Stélkina are kept at the Fedoskino factory museum and in many private collections in Russia and abroad. In 1997, Nadezhda's works were marketed under license in the United States and immediately acquired immense popularity. The biggest souvenir company "The Bradford Exchange" has launched a series of music boxes, porcelain plates, Christmas trees, etc. called "Symphony of Angels". For this series, Nadezhda received the crystal cup "New name of the year".

Since then, Nadezhda has been collaborating with various companies. His works can be seen on various products (postcards, calendars, puzzles, Christmas tree decorations, collection plates, music boxes, etc.) in almost all countries of the world. Thanks to the possibility of making money by selling her images under license, Nadezhda was unable to sell the originals of her works of art and, having accumulated a large collection, was able to make her old dream: to open his own private museum in the fatherland in Russian lacquer boxes, in the famous village of Fedoskino. The museum collection includes more than 40 works of lacquer miniatures (boxes, boxes, wall panels), created by Nadezhda in the past 20 years.
