Dean Russo Art – “Art that loves you back”Art and animals. These two passions define Dean, an artist based in Brooklyn, New York, who uses vibrant Pop Art colors and bold abstract patterns to give voice to his favorite subject: animals. Dean grew up in a house full of art supplies, and from a young age he began drawing cartoon characters, which would later become a great source of inspiration in his work. After studying graphic design and fine arts at the School of Visual Arts and Pratt Institute, Dean started out painting mostly portraits of celebrities, but it was his two Cocker Spaniels that became his biggest inspiration. “They would sit at my feet every night, so one day I decided to paint them. »Dean begins his paintings with the eyes, because, as any animal lover knows, the eyes are the most expressive part. Dean's main subjects are dogs, with pit bulls making up the majority of his work. “Pit bulls are a misunderstood breed, and I'm just happy to be able to send a message for animal rescue. » Dean Russo Art Studio is sincerely committed to the cause of animal rescue and participates in charity auctions, donations and fundraising events to raise awareness and support the animal welfare community. Dean hopes to convey the love and dedication of animal lovers of all kinds, from dogs and cats to horses and much more. He is currently working on a wildlife series to support the countless species at risk of extinction.
