Jean-Marc Janiaczyk

Jean-Marc JANIACZYK is a self-taught French painter, born on December 18, 1966. He has been drawing since childhood, and in 1991 he began to paint. Many years of drawing gave him a solid foundation in draftsmanship.

After trying watercolor, pastel, acrylic and oil painting, he finally chose oil colors for their flexibility, their creaminess and their long drying time.

His first paintings were only clumsy attempts, but he very quickly taught himself the technique of oil painting, by observing and depicting exactly what he saw. This led him to a difficult technique: hyperrealism.

Having always been drawn to landscape painting, he paints landscapes, and it was in 1999 that he first used a palette knife, to give volume to a few flowers.

Impressed by the result of this technique, he has since painted very colorful nature scenes exclusively with a palette knife.

He loves painting landscapes of the south of France, where the sunlight is intense, the colors are vivid and the contrasts are powerful. Sometimes he also likes to paint figures or portraits.

Jean-Marc JANIACZYK wants to paint and convey the warmth of summer; each of his paintings is an invitation to stroll through these landscapes, or simply to sit and admire the scenery, smell the flowers and enjoy a fleeting moment.

His paintings are very successful, so much so that many of them are reproduced and distributed worldwide as cross-stitch patterns, cards, calendars, jigsaw puzzles, posters, skirts, stationery... and much more.

He has also written, on a few occasions, four-page articles in the special issue of a French art magazine.

His paintings are in many collections in South Africa, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Japan, Morocco, Mexico, the Czech Republic, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States.
