C.R.Bjork is an acrylic “Colorist” painter born and raised in Southern California, who signs his name CBjork on all his works. His art is primarily fantasy and pop-surreal, but also has American aspects with some elements of realism. He began his artistic career painting Beanie Babies which were featured in many collectible magazines. Subsequently, he became known for his post-impressionist works depicting California, nature, animals, Las Vegas scenes and the expressiveness of Halloween. His Tiki Hula art has been one of his main interests, as it allows him to combine many expressions, with fun characters and elements of nature. His Tiki-Hula art is inspired by his own imagination. CBjork was born in the mid-70s and grew up loving Disney, as well as TV shows like Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie, Munsters, and Smurfs, to name a few. The main purpose of his art is to entertain others and himself, to experience a holiday with a simple painting. Some paintings have a lot of meaning, others are simple happy scenes. CBjork has many plans for the future when it comes to his art collections.
CBjork's studio is currently under construction and is located at his home in Ventura, California. Some of his works can be seen locally at Aloha on Main street.
