Al Hogue

Al Hogue describes his art and philosophy in one word: "light", which he calls "a reflection of nature, of life itself". Since childhood, Hogue has found visual media far more suited than words to his nature as a dyslexic artist. He creates a world of peace in his works, using his mastery of color and light to relieve his own stress and that of others. Hogue uses his art to heal: his works have been used in hospital studies and were found to contribute to physiological healing; they now decorate hundreds of hospital rooms across the country. In addition, Hogue's works are held in private and public collections in the United States and around the world.
